Lucknow / Zone-East, Thana Chinhat – The Lucknow Police Commissionerate, under the leadership of Thana Chinhat officers, successfully apprehended five individuals involved in a firing incident with the intent to kill. The arrests took place on 03.10.2024 at 12:55 PM near Rashtriya Udyog Ashram Inter College.
Details of the Incident: On 01.10.2024, an FIR (No. 470/2024) was registered by plaintiff Abhishek Tiwari under Section 352/109 BNS at Thana Chinhat, regarding an incident where the accused fired at him and his friend with the intent to kill. The investigation, led by Sub Inspector Abhay Narayan Pandey, culminated in the arrest of the five suspects on 03.10.2024. The accused were identified as:
- Vipul Singh (22 years), son of Raj Kumar Singh, resident of Ajitnagar Thakuriya, PS Mukundganj, District Pratapgarh.
- Ashutosh Yadav (23 years), son of Shriram Ji Yadav, resident of Pachkhora, PS Sukhpur, District Ballia, currently residing in Crossing Republic, Lalkua, Ghaziabad.
- Shivam Singh alias Shiv Virendra Singh (22 years), son of Harigovind Singh, resident of Mujrimpur, PS Deva, District Barabanki.
- Omkar Yadav (23 years), son of Ram Kumar Yadav, resident of Baburiya, Post Khewari, PS Deva, District Barabanki.
- Vaibhav Singh (24 years), son of Virendra Pratap Singh, resident of Maniyar, PS Maniyar, District Ballia.
Recovery: During the arrest, the police recovered the following items:
- One illegal 32-bore pistol
- Two live 32-bore cartridges
Further Legal Action: Following evidence collection, the accused have been charged under additional sections, including Section 190/191(2)/191(3)/3(5) BNS, along with the Arms Act Section 3/25. The police have initiated necessary legal procedures, and further investigations are underway to uncover any additional criminal history linked to the arrested individuals.
